Head notes: Bitter orange essence, Grapefruit, Blackcurrant bud absolute
Heart notes: Basil essence, Cinnamon bark essence, Timut pepper essence, Cypress France essence
Bottom notes: Atlas cedar esssence, Akigalawood, Patchouli heart essence, Resinoid myrrh, Benzoin resinoid, Vanilla, Cosmone
Somewhat recently, I discovered that I love a Myrrh note in perfume so this intrigued me. When sprayed, I got the bitter orange, and an incense-smoky feel, then a little peppery and thought maybe I smelled a touch of licorice so I wasn’t sure BUT, as it began to try down, it became sweeter, the smokiness went away, and I was left with a gorgeously resinous vanilla with sweet myrrh, just enough of patchouli to know it was there, and the softest, smoothest woodiness I’ve ever smelled. This one is a STUNNER. I wanted something super warm and cozy for this cold winter day, but didn’t want a gourmand and this checks all the boxes! This was 100% a blind buy win
This is my 2nd extrait from the house and what I’ve realized is that these fragrances are complex and take you on a real journey through the notes. They are definitely not to be judged on the opening, and are magical in their drydowns.
