In Shanghai, a city in perpetual motion where ancient traditions dialogue with urban energy, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud captured the force of a contemporary expression—that of ephemeral calligraphy, a pavement art comprised of poems traced out in water. Born of a wood slowly reduced to soot through an artisanal process, Chinese ink inspired a woody fragrance of great intensity. Its depth is found in the warm, creamy sandalwood that structures the composition. By contrast, white incense brings a pure, mineral touch. Amber notes gradually prolong movement, creating a distinctive trail.

Through three creations, the Maison extends an invitation to discover the rituals, craftsmanship and raw materials that nourish the spirit of travel. For the occasion, the silhouette of the apothecary-style bottle designed by Marc Newson meets the Chinese snuff bottle, an historic art object of timeless refinement.
